Drum Heaters
A drum heater is a belt or band designed to wrap around a drum and heat the material inside. They are typically used to speed the flow of viscous materials like greases, oils, plastics, and adhesives, and to maintain liquids at a constant temperature.

Drum heaters are constructed with high temperature resistance elements and a reinforced insulation jacket, generally made of silicone rubber. The panel wraps around the drum, secured tightly by spring attachments or banding materials either included with the heater or provided separately.

Drum heaters may also come equipped with a thermostat for precise temperature control which may be necessary for volatile materials.

SLDH Silicone Rubber Insulated Drum Heaters are constructed of silicone rubber reinforced Fiberglas® cloth laminated around resistance wire to provide flexible, moisture and chemical resistant heat. Drum heaters can withstand flexing without fear of premature failure.

Nelson's VH Series heating panels are installed on the outer surface of tanks and vessels to prevent the contents from freezing and to maintain liquids at a constant temperature. Compared to heating cables, VH panels are easier to install on tanks and vessels while providing the flexibility to heat a large area of the tank surface or to focus heat on a smaller area when fluid levels in the vessel are low. These panels are suitable for installation on metallic tanks and vessels for freeze protection or process temperature maintenance up to 175 degrees Fahrenheit. Any number of heating panels can be installed on a single tank and connected in parallel or series to suit electrical distribution and application requirements.
